The online Mini MBA is a non-credit-bearing, non-degree-bearing course designed and managed by the University at Buffalo School of Management. If you are seeking an opportunity to gain or update your business skills in a variety of management-related areas, this course is ideal for you. The program is organized into six content areas. Within each content area are modules that must be completed in sequence. As you work through each module, there are self-check questions and problems to reinforce your learning. At the end of each module, you must complete the module quiz with a score of 65% or higher to proceed to the next module in the sequence. Once you have successfully completed all 17 modules of the program, a certificate of completion will be issued.
The length of the program depends on the amount of time you devote to it and your level of preexisting knowledge on the topics in each module. On average participants complete the program in 4.5 months.
The program fee is $995 (USD). For participants in the continental U.S., the fee covers the program and shipping costs associated with sending your certificate of completion via United States Postal Service. For all others, the fee covers the program and shipping costs associated with sending your certificate of completion via United Parcel Service.
All major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express and Discover) are accepted. Although scholarships and financial aid are not offered for this program, a limited number of discounted seats are available for employees of the University at Buffalo and M&T Bank. Contact the Office of Professional and Executive Development at mgt-ced@buffalo.edu.
The program is available for enrollment 365 days a year. You will be granted access into our program once we receive your completed registration form and payment.
This program is non-credit bearing and will not appear on any transcript issued by the University at Buffalo. It cannot be used in part or whole towards admission to the University at Buffalo. The OMMBA is not accredited by AACSB, however, the program is recognized by the business community as a standard of excellence and accomplishment.
Generally, those who complete the program do not use post-nominals on their business card next to their name as a doctor would display MD. Rather, they list their completion of the Online Mini MBA certificate program on their résumé and LinkedIn profile. You cannot use the title of MMBA or MBA.
You will be able to print a copy of your certificate, along with your grade letter upon successful completion of the program. If you live in the continental U.S., your certificate will also be mailed to you via USPS. If you live outside the continental U.S., your certificate will be sent to you via UPS.
The non-credit-bearing program includes content in each of the six subject areas:
Accounting and finance
Marketing and communications
Technology
Human resources
Economics
General management
You must complete each section in the above order before moving on to the next.
You may work through the material at your own pace. Each module consists of self-check questions throughout each module as well as a test at the end of each module. Users must achieve a score of 65% or better to advance to the next module.
