Pegels specialized in the areas of production and operations management, management information systems, strategic management and health systems management. He has authored or co-authored 17 books and more than 90 articles in academic research journals. Pegels is a frequent contributor to national and international conferences, and he has consulted for private and public organizations.

Extracurricular Activities

  • An active and competitive long-distance runner. He has completed more than 180 marathons and more than 40 ultraraces (distances of 50 Km and over). He won the Buffalo News age group runner of the year award for three years while he was in his sixties
