Box Drive for macOS experiencing sync issue

UB staff members work on laptops at a conference table.

If you're using Box Drive for macOS versions 12.4 and 12.5, a sync issue may cause some files saved on your computer to not properly save to UBbox cloud storage. It’s recommended that you use the UBbox web app (ubbox.buffalo.edu) until the problem is fixed.

Technical staff at Box are aware of the problem, and plan to release a fix for this problem soon. In the meantime, you can still upload and access documents in UBbox by using the web app. Or, if you’re on a mobile device, you can download Box Mobile for iOS or Box Mobile for Android.

Box Drive on Windows is not affected.

What is Box Drive? Is that different from UBbox?

Box Drive is the official Box desktop app for Windows and macOS. Box Drive creates a Box folder on your computer linked to your UBbox cloud storage. When Box Drive is working correctly, any changes you make in the Box folder on your desktop will automatically sync with your UBbox account in the cloud.
