Congratulations, #UBClassof2026!
The School of Management will present two commencement ceremonies.
All eligible students must have registered to participate. Contact us if you require assistance.
1 p.m. on Friday, May 15
Broadview Arena, UB North Campus
Coordinator: Maddie Wood
Contact: 716-645-5254 or mgt-commencement@buffalo.edu
If you are earning a baccalaureate degree (including one awarded as part of a combined degree), you are eligible to receive Latin honors based on your UB cumulative grade point average (GPA) on the following scale:
Average (based on 4.00=A)
To qualify for Latin honors, you must present a minimum of 60 credit hours of UB undergraduate coursework, at least 54 of which must be graded credits (i.e., not grades of 'P,' 'NP,' 'S' or 'U').
To receive the Latin honors designation in commencement program books, and to be eligible to wear the honorific gold cord (cum laude, magna and summa) at the time of ceremonies, candidates for the June degree conferral date must qualify based upon their UB cumulative GPA through the winter intersession of that year and projected UB credit hours through the spring semester of that year. Standings for Latin honors may change once final grades are posted or degrees conferred.
This program book recognition is only intended for students who will have their degrees conferred in June, or have had their degrees conferred in the previous February or August.
The gold cords will be available for purchase for $14.25 through the University Bookstore on North Campus beginning in March. At that time, qualifying students may purchase their cord at the store; bring UB ID. Students who are unable to purchase in person may email the store at 0405mgr@follett.com to indicate their interest and provide a call-back number so a store representative may take their order by telephone; in this case, add $7.99 for home shipping.

Note: Remember that no personal items may be left behind in The Edward Wright Practice Facility (Triple Gym). Limit what you bring (purses, bags, etc.) as you will need to hold onto everything for the duration of the event.
This is a ticketed ceremony. The window to reserve tickets in advance has closed. If you do not have tickets, please tell your guests to go directly to Guest Services in the main entrance of Broadview Arena at noon for the undergraduate ceremony or 4 p.m. for the graduate ceremony. There will be a limited number of tickets available there on a first-come, first-served basis.
All guests will need a ticket to enter the ceremony. Graduates participating in the ceremony and children two and under, sitting on a ticketed guest's lap, do not need a ticket. All tickets are mobile only. If the person accepting the ticket(s) does not have a Ticketmaster account, they will need to create one in order to accept them. If you have a guest without a mobile phone, we recommend transferring their ticket to another guest who does and asking them to arrive to the ceremony together.
