In 2013, Diane Gardner was on the team that created Kodak Alaris after the bankruptcy of the Eastman Kodak Co. Kodak Alaris is a global technology company specializing in imaging science and information management.

She began as the company’s chief tax officer and, just last year, was promoted to vice president of tax and treasury. In her new role, she’s responsible for overseeing treasury and tax operations in more than 20 countries.

After graduation, Gardner entered public accounting, beginning in audit but quickly transferring into tax. Her first corporate job was as tax manager for a public biotechnology company, followed by her role as tax director at Eastman Kodak.

Gardner says the School of Management provided her with a well-rounded perspective for her career ahead.

“I’m not just a tax person, I’m a business person,” she says. “The group projects we worked on gave me experience working on cross-functional teams, organizations like Beta Alpha Psi taught me about professionalism, and most importantly, Professor Ann Cohen made our tax classes interesting and engaging — so much so that I chose it for my career.”
