1960s

Albert DiGiulio Jr., BS ’62, is a financial planner, specializing in IRA and 401Ks, along with tax reduction and safe investments for clients.

1980s

Andrew Carle, BS ’81, received the Pinnacle Industry Ally Award from McKnight’s News Service, which recognizes professionals who work in aging services with at least 20 years’ experience who have set standards, driven change, and contributed to improving quality of life for older adults. 

1990s

Sharon Mendelow, BS ’91, joined IBM as global executive producer.

Marc Franco, BS ’96, joined Cushman & Wakefield as managing director, investor services.

Dale M. McKim III, BS ’96, CPA, was named chief financial officer of Chemung Financial Corporation. 

David Spriegel, JD/MBA ’96, was promoted to executive director for pricing, forecasting and portfolio analytics for the Consumer Lending Division at USAA Federal Savings Bank.

Brent Pero, BS ’98, joined Deep Sync as senior vice president business development.

Jeremy Walczak, BS ’99, was promoted to senior vice president, chief information security officer at GenesisCare U.S.

Alumni Spotlight: Inspiring positive change across the industrial supply channel

Murphy.

While attending the Industrial Supply Association’s ISA24 convention, Jennifer Murphy, CEL ’12, was honored with the Women’s Influence Award, recognizing her commitment to advancing the development and influence of women in the industrial supply sector.

Murphy, who serves as president and CEO of NetPlus Alliance — a buying group for industrial and construction supplies distributors and manufacturers — has dedicated herself to transforming both the company and inspiring change within the industry. She actively supports women’s advancement through her participation in the ISA’s Women in Industry group and has also served as a mentor to aspiring entrepreneurs in the School of Management. 

“Supporting the progress and impact of women is the right thing to do and is strategically important, because it fosters innovation, growth and sustainability,” says Murphy. “I’m grateful for this recognition and remain dedicated to the empowerment of all people in the industrial and construction supply channels.”

In 2021, NetPlus transitioned ownership and leadership to Murphy from her father and company founder Dan Judge.Under her leadership, the company has seen remarkable growth and Murphy has created an inclusive and dedicated team. 

2000s

Sheldon Berg, BS ’01, joined CFSB as head of corporate success.

Randy Irvine, MBA ’01, joined the Cybersecurity firm BeyondTrust as distribution sales manager for the Americas. 

Asif Abidi, BS ’04, was named senior director of clinical operations at the UB School of Dental Medicine.

Brett Nelson, BS ’03, MBA ’05, was promoted to senior vice president, business strategy manager at M&T Bank.

James Toomey, BS ’06, was promoted to director of digital solutions at Rich Products.

Sudha Bommidi, MBA ’07, was promoted to chief operating officer at RPCI Oncology PC and senior executive director at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Kevin Caballes, BS ’11, was named head of business operations at Fleek.

Brittany Bartula, BS ’16, MBA ’17, published the children’s book, “Paisley, Paisley Runs to the Store,” which introduces financial literacy concepts to young children in an entertaining and accessible manner.
