In an evolving global economy, there is no question that our best prepared students will bring an international perspective with them when they enter the job market.
With this in mind, the UB School of Management, in conjunction with the Joseph T.J. Stewart Endowment, offers a limited number of scholarships to support study-abroad experiences through a competitive application process.
To be eligible, you must:
To be considered competitive for this scholarship award, you should have a minimum UB and overall GPA of at least a 3.0 or higher, as well as the following:
The study-abroad experience must fit into your graduation plan without delaying degree conferral date.
Awards are based on academic merit and seriousness of purpose. If you have never studied or traveled abroad, and/or you have a demonstrated leadership background, you will be given preference.
Upon return from your study-abroad experience, you will be encouraged to help the School of Management and UB's Study Abroad Office in promoting future programs and opportunities.
The scholarship committee will review all applications and make all award decisions. Awards will be announced within 30 days of the application deadline. The committee's decisions are final and are not subject to appeal. The one-time award will be applied directly to the recipient’s UB student account.
