The UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership is offering a series of half-day workshops for business owners and leaders who want to move from ideas to action. Each workshop takes a deep dive into a specific topic, combining expert insight with hands-on application. AI Workshop Series

All workshops in this series are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership,

Led by Celine Krzan, clinical assistant professor of entrepreneurship in the UB School of Management.

The most successful entrepreneurs aren't doing everything themselves; they're building systems that work for them. In this workshop, you'll walk through real-world use cases that show exactly how AI agents and the latest AI tools can take repetitive tasks off your plate and give you back time to focus on what actually grows your business. No technical background required.

Family Business Succession

Both sessions in this workshop are from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the UB Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, Conference Room 208, 77 Goodell St., Buffalo.

Led by Joseph Manna, Esq., founder of Invisible Elephant Consulting and a family business attorney and consultant with over 30 years of experience, and Matt Morey, Esq., a business and corporate attorney with expertise in family business law and governance.

This two-session workshop is for family business owners, founders, strategic decision-makers and their family stakeholders. Gain the legal frameworks, planning tools and communication skills to move from awareness to action.

Foundation Day (Sept. 10)

  • Understand the legal, financial and relational frameworks behind successful succession
  • Learn how to avoid common pitfalls of family business
  • Assess your current position and identify key risks and gaps
  • Work through real-world scenarios to apply concepts to your own situation
  • Gain practical tools to guide decision-making with clarity and control

Application Day (Oct. 1)

  • Apply Session 1 frameworks directly to your real-world situation
  • Work through legal audits, estate planning and transfer strategies
  • Participate in interactive, small-group exercises
  • Navigate scenario-based challenges to pressure-test your approach
  • Build a personalized succession roadmap
  • Practice the difficult conversations that often stall progress
