Leadership Focus Area

Today’s leaders face complex challenges that demand strategic thinking and decisive action. The Leadership focus area equips you with the tools to inspire teams, drive innovation and make informed decisions in dynamic business environments.

• Master the art of influencing people and building support for innovation and change
• Develop advanced decision-making frameworks for high-stakes business challenges
• Learn to lead cross-functional teams and foster collaboration in diverse environments
• Harness emotional intelligence to effectively adapt to situations and motivate others
• Build expertise in developing and managing people to align with organizational goals
• Gain practical skills in conflict resolution and negotiation for sustainable outcomes
• Explore ethical leadership principles to balance profitability with responsibility
• Learn to use and analyze data to leverage people’s skills and talents

Availability varies by semester. 

Required: Either MGB 607 Leadership and Motivation or MGG 666 and MGG 667 - Leadership Development courses for the LeaderCORE program.

Then choose three courses (9 credits) from the following: 

• MGB 615 - Executive Presence and Emotional Intelligence (3 credits)
• MGB 625 - Power and Influence (3 credits)
• MGB 626 - People Analytics (3 credits)
• MGI 601 - Human Resource Management (3 credits)
• MGI 617 - Managing Employees for Maximum Performance (3 credits)
