Invest in your most valuable asset—yourself.
If you have a strong academic record, are highly motivated and have an unwavering commitment to hard work, the University at Buffalo delivers an exceptional personal, professional and financial return.
To enhance UB's already competitive tuition, we award scholarships, fellowships and assistantships for outstanding, highly motivated students. All awards are merit-based and may be funded for full or partial tuition.
In addition to those listed below, there are numerous other scholarships and fellowships available for highly qualified graduate students. Visit The Graduate School's website for more information.
The Graduate Opportunity Program provides tuition assistance to EOP, HEOP and SEEK graduates who are undertaking graduate study at participating SUNY institutions. More information can be found on our website.
Graduate student, teaching and research assistantships are offered each year in a competitive process to a select number of qualified full-time students. Students assist with school or university administration, teach or undertake research with faculty members. Although responsibilities vary by assignment, assistants generally work 20 hours per week. Graduate and teaching assistants receive a stipend plus a tuition scholarship.
There are many university, national and international-level awards available to fund your education. Visit the Understanding the Funding Process webpage, which provides information on admissions and funding decisions, funding packages and opportunities for funding.
