As we conclude the 2025-26 academic year and my first serving as department chair, I reflect on another highly successful year for our students and programs. While summer offers a chance to recharge, it is also a time of preparation as we get ready to welcome a new class of students this fall. We anticipate strong enrollment across our undergraduate and graduate programs and remain focused on creating new opportunities that meet the evolving needs of the accounting profession.

In this issue of Accounting Update, you will find many highlights of our student accomplishments, faculty research and program successes for the past year.

Thank you to our dedicated alumni, including members of the Accounting Advisory Council, for their contributions to our department. With your continuing support, we have a strong foundation with which to further strengthen our programs. I wish you and your family a great summer.
