This interdisciplinary, course-embedded, project-based and alumni-enhanced global experience exposes University at Buffalo students to the history, culture, traditions and language of Ghana, Rwanda and South Africa.
The course exposes students to social innovation and entrepreneurial leadership in Africa through the lens of the three countries while shaping the narrative and developing future global leaders.
The interdisciplinary model gives students an opportunity to learn and collaborate with peers and faculty from different disciplines for impactful outcomes.
During the in-person trip to Ghana, students had an immersive experience. Health care students used their skills to serve rural schools and communities in Ghana during the medical segment of the program.
Non-medical (management, engineering, liberal arts) students served with the medical team and/or learned from other innovative businesses and organizations in Ghana.
