This fall, Vincent Castellani joined the faculty of the School of Management as an assistant professor in the Accounting and Law department. He recently earned his PhD in accounting from Pennsylvania State University. He also holds a BS in chemistry-business and an MBA with a focus on accounting and finance from the University of Scranton. He is a Certified Management Accountant.
Castellani’s research primarily focuses on initial equity issuances, the impact of regulatory changes and auditing. His co-authored work on the investor response to SPAC guidance has been published in The Accounting Review. His work on randomized Public Company Accounting Oversight Board inspections was recently featured at the 2024 PCAOB/The Accounting Review Registered Reports Conference on current issues in auditing. His research has been cited in two PCAOB rulemaking document releases.
This spring, Castellani will begin teaching Introduction to Data Analytics for Accountants, which will include the benefits of using generative artificial intelligence as a complementary tool for data analysis.
