Brace brings to the classroom nearly 25 years of experience as a financial practitioner, where he provided strategic guidance to high-net-worth families and institutional clients, and aligned their investment programs with their specific goals and objectives. He adds depth and context to the learning experience of his students and is able to articulate technical finance and economic concepts and adapt them to his students’ level of comprehension. He worked with U.S.-based registered investment advisors and private banks, as well as wealth mangers and private bank offices in Grand Cayman and Bermuda. He also co-founded a Bermuda-based investment consulting firm in 2017. His responsibilities have included equity research, portfolio construction, attribution analysis, manager due diligence and alternative asset research in private equity, private credit, venture capital and hedge funds. Brace has extensive experience cultivating and nurturing relationships, thereby enhancing client retention and uncovering new business opportunities. His exposure to the offshore investment arena has endowed him with a unique perspective on both the similarities and differences in high-net-worth and institutional client investment management across geographic regions.
