Concentration and Degree Options

The School of Management offers a variety of programs for students interested in this field:

  • In the management information systems (MIS) concentration, undergraduates learn a variety of managerial topics, technologies and programming languages in preparation for a career in MIS or a related field.
  • As part of the full-time MBA program, you can pursue two options through our department, information assurance and information systems and e-business, both of which prepare you for in-demand careers in today’s marketplace.
  • The Master of Science in Management Information Systems program focuses on the application of computer-related technology to managerial problems. In this one-year program, you will learn to apply computer information systems to solve problems and leverage Web-based technology for strategic gains.
  • For IT executives and aspiring professionals, the School of Management also offers a dual MS/MBA program in business analytics and systems in Bangalore, India, with Amrita University.
  • For Management PhD students, you can choose from two tracks: management science and management systems. In both, you will work with our faculty of globally connected, committed scholars who are ranked highly nationwide by leading journals for research productivity.

Hsinchun Chen and Hsaio-Hui Chow Scholarship

Given annually to two undergraduates in the MIS concentration. The award was established in 2010 by Hsinchun Chen, MBA ’85, and his wife, Hsiao-Hui Chow. Applications are available each year from April 1 through July 1.
