Intern's Title
 Process Improvement Intern

Main Project Responsibilities
 Analyze and propose ways to improve the system of control over inventories and expenses for just-in-time delivery. Analyze relevant data, which may include annual revenues, employment or expenditures. Interview managers and employees while observing operations. Goal is to reduce costs and streamline activities.

Desired Skills and Knowledge

  • Education: MBA only - second-year student preferred
  • Concentration(s) of study: management consulting
  • Technical Skills: Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access)
  • Able to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Advanced skills in verbal and written communication, time management and interpersonal relations required

Learning Objectives

  • By the end of this internship experience, interns will have gained exposure to all facets of Company X
  • The intern will have been involved with this project from initial design through analysis and implementation phases
  • Exposure to a company culture with more than 100 years of marketing experience

Logistics
 Intern will work 15 hours per week. Main project will be broken down into mini-projects with hard deadlines throughout the semester. Potential for continuation of internship into an additional semester based upon team work and overall performance. This position is paid at $22.50 per hour with mileage reimbursement, free parking and occasional lunch stipends.
