Scholarship Opportunities

The Joseph T.J. Stewart Global Citizenship Program Study Abroad Scholarship

The UB School of Management, in conjunction with the Joseph T.J. Stewart Endowment, offers a limited number of scholarships to support study-abroad experiences through a competitive application process.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a domestic undergraduate student enrolled full-time and matriculated in the School of Management
  • Have already applied for a UB or SUNY study-abroad program, which fits into your graduation plan without delaying your degree conferral date

To be competitive for this scholarship:

  • You should have a minimum UB and School of Management GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Preference will be given to School of Management students who participate in School of Management faculty-led trips

Criteria

Awards are based on academic merit and seriousness of purpose. If you have never studied or traveled abroad, and/or you have a demonstrated leadership background, you will be given preference. 

Upon return from your study-abroad experience, you will be encouraged to help the School of Management and UB's Study Abroad Office in promoting future programs and opportunities.

Applications

Apply for this scholarship via the UB Scholarship Portal.

Applications will be open twice a year from: 

  • July 15 - Sept. 15 (Fall/Winter Travel)
  • Dec. 15 - Feb. 15 (Spring/Summer Travel)

To be considered complete, your application must include the following:   

  • A completed application form
  • A typed personal statement describing how this financial assistance would be important to you and how this study-abroad experience fits in with your career aspirations
  • A typed résumé

Harvey L. Herer School of Management International Travel Fund

The UB School of Management, in conjunction with the Harvey J. Herer International Travel Fund, offers a limited number of scholarships to support study-abroad experiences through a competitive application process.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a student matriculated in the School of Management
  • Plan to travel to Asia on your study abroad
  • Demonstrate financial need

To be competitive for this scholarship:

  • You should have a minimum UB and School of Management GPA of 3.0 or higher

School of Management Global Program Virtual Fee Hardship Scholarship

Students who demonstrate financial hardships resulting from the School of Management Global Program Virtual Fee may qualify for a hardship scholarship.
