BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Undergraduate students in the University at Buffalo School of Management will have the opportunity to showcase their best research and class projects, internship experiences and leadership initiatives at the DEAL (Display of Efforts, Aptitudes and Leadership) Expo at 9 a.m. on March 23 in the Alfiero Center.

A $1,000 prize will be awarded for the best poster. Additional prizes will include $500 for second place, $250 for third place and $250 for the Open House Choice award. School of Management faculty members will serve as the judges.

The School of Management is providing funding for the prizes and other event expenses. UB’s Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (CURCA) is funding the posters, so there is no cost for student entries.

The DEAL Expo, which is open to the public, also will feature light refreshments and free giveaways. It is being held in conjunction with the university’s spring Open House for accepted students.

The UB School of Management is recognized for its emphasis on real-world learning, community and economic impact, and the global perspective of its faculty, students and alumni. The school has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, the Financial Times, Forbes, U.S. News & World Report and The Wall Street Journal for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates.

The University at Buffalo is a premier research-intensive public university, a flagship institution in the State University of New York system and its largest and most comprehensive campus. UB’s more than 28,000 students pursue their academic interests through more than 300 undergraduate, graduate and professional degree programs.
