UB School of Management community,
We are saddened to share the news that Arun Jain, Samuel P. Capen Professor of Marketing Research, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 3. He was 71.
In more than 42 years with the School of Management, Arun impacted the lives of countless students and contributed significantly to the school’s reputation through his scholarship and many media interviews. He was also known for the extensive alumni network he cultivated, bringing many graduates into his classes to speak to his current students.
A wake will be held today from 4-6 p.m. and Saturday from 9-10 a.m. at Amigone Funeral Home, 5200 Sheridan Drive at Hopkins Rd. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
His loss will be felt by all. Our deepest sympathy goes out to his wife, Jean, and his family.
Flowers are gratefully declined, but because many of you have asked, Arun’s wife has set up the Dr. Arun K. Jain Student Assistance Fund, where you can make a donation in his memory.
Sincerely,
Paul Tesluk
