BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Individuals looking to improve their financial futures can learn basic saving and investment concepts at the next Smart Business Practices seminar, hosted by the University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA) from noon to 1:30 p.m. on April 24 in the Center for Tomorrow on UB’s North Campus.
“Leveraging Time, the Power of Saving and Planning for the Future” will be presented by Gregg S. Fisher ’92, CFA, CFP, founder and chief investment officer at Gerstein Fisher.
Co-sponsored by the UB Investment Club, the lunch seminar is specifically geared toward a nonfinancial audience. Participants will learn basic financial ideas, including how to create a savings plan, use compound interest to your advantage, and balance current and future financial needs.
The seminar costs $30 for SOMAA members and $35 for all others. Online registration is required by April 21. For more information, call 716-645-3224.
