BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo School of Management Alumni Association (SOMAA) recently awarded a number of education grants through its Member Rewards program.
SOMAA members and their immediate families are eligible for the grants, which can be used toward UB educational programs.
The recipients of the 2013 grants are:
• James Adamo Jr. of Rochester, who is studying for a master’s degree in supply chain and operations management.
• Kathryn Berger of Williamsville (daughter of Gary Berger ’79, MBA ’93), who is studying for a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
• Christine Krolewicz of Elma (daughter of Randall Krolewicz ’83), who is studying for a master’s degree in urban planning.
• Meghan Mercurio of Buffalo, who is studying for a Master of Education in school counseling.
• Alanna Olear of Amherst (daughter of Michael Olear, CEL’07), who is studying for a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering.
• Michael Patterson Jr. of Lancaster (son of Michael Patterson ’83, MBA ’86), who is studying for a bachelor’s degree in biomedical science.
• Danielle Wallenhorst Hawkins of Hamburg, who is working toward certification in school leadership.
Other benefits of SOMAA’s Member Rewards program include grants for professional development, entertainment and travel, as well as complimentary tickets to SOMAA networking and social events.
