BUFFALO, N.Y. — The free tax preparation provided by University at Buffalo School of Management students has been canceled for its final five days: March 29, April 4, 5, 11 and 12.
With the switch to digital delivery of classes due to precautionary concerns about COVID-19, there will be an insufficient number of volunteers available to conduct the student-run service.
“While our students regret the need to end the season early, they are grateful they were able to complete the entire South Campus portion of the program in February and March, serving more than 400 clients,” said Cheryl Hall, clinical assistant professor of accounting and law, and faculty advisor to the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.
