BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The University at Buffalo School of Management is again ranked as one of the country’s best undergraduate business programs in the 2020 edition of “America’s Best Colleges” by U.S. News and World Report.

Among public business schools, the UB School of Management is ranked No. 49.

Across all B-schools, the school is tied at No. 79, up eight spots from last year, and ranked higher than any other business school in the State University of New York system.

“Our growing portfolio of global and entrepreneurial experiences, our Undergraduate Honors program and our BS in information technology and management are among several new initiatives that enhance the quality of our student experience and our global reputation,” said Paul Tesluk, dean of the School of Management. “It’s good to see these efforts reflected in the rankings.”

The ranking was culled from a list of more than 850 schools accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, positioning the school in the top 10 percent of accredited undergraduate business programs.

Based on a survey to deans and senior faculty at accredited schools, the ranking asks participants to rate the quality of all programs they are familiar with on a scale of 1 (marginal) to 5 (distinguished).

UB is rated among the top 50 public universities in the nation for the sixth straight year. UB’s ranking, at No. 31, is up seven places from last year. UB also achieved its highest rating ever among the best national universities in the country—public and private—at No. 79, up 10 places from last year. Over the past 12 years, UB has risen 42 spots in the rankings. For more information, visit UB Now.
