BUFFALO, N.Y. — Forbes magazine has once again ranked the University at Buffalo School of Management as one of the best business schools in the U.S. based on the return on investment it provides MBA graduates.

The ranking of No. 42, up three spots from the last ranking, places the school solidly in the top 10% of graduate business programs accredited by AACSB International – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Among public universities, the UB School of Management is ranked No. 20. It is the only business school in the Buffalo Niagara region to be included in the ranking.

“We know that our graduates achieve a high level of success in their careers, and this ranking confirms it,” said Paul Tesluk, dean of the UB School of Management. “It also shows that they get an outstanding value for their investment in our MBA program.”

According to Forbes, the ranking shows which business schools offer the best return on investment by comparing the cost of attaining an MBA — tuition, plus forgone income — to salaries earned by MBA graduates upon graduation and five years after graduation. Full results are available online at www.forbes.com.

The UB School of Management is recognized for its emphasis on real-world learning, community and economic impact, and the global perspective of its faculty, students and alumni. The school also has been ranked by Bloomberg Businessweek, Forbes and U.S. News & World Report for the quality of its programs and the return on investment it provides its graduates.
