BUFFALO, N.Y. — Nineteen graduate students in the University at Buffalo School of Management have passed the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) exam, one of the information technology (IT) field’s top certifications.
Manish Gupta, manager of enterprise information risk assurance for HealthNow New York Inc., teaches Information Systems Auditing for IT Managers, an ISACA certified course in the UB School of Management. ISACA is the governing body that administers the CISA exam and awards the certificate.
“With the ever growing reliance on IT and increasing complexity of technical ecosystems, the need for auditing and governing technology controls for effective risk management has never been higher,” says Gupta. “Passing the CISA exam validates that students have the skills and expertise to help identify and assess controls, report on compliance and recommend remediation.”
