Watch for deadlines. Register early.

The Career Resource Center (CRC) organizes various career events throughout the year including workshops, national speakers, employer information sessions, alumni sessions and career fairs. For School of Management events, look for specific dates and times and register through BizLink - Events. See a list below of national events. If you are looking for an opportunity outside of Western NY, a national fair is your best bet. Watch for deadlines and register early.

Below are descriptions of some of the most prominent recruiting events that UB students attend. Read the descriptions carefully to determine your eligibility in terms of degree required, country work authorizations, etc.

Pre-registration is typically required and often involves registration fees; attending will require travel expenses. The WOW Fund may be available to you for partial reimbursements. Many events require you to register up to six months or more ahead of time, so observe the deadlines and register early. Let the CRC know you are attending so the office can help you prepare.

  • REGISTER FOR CHAINge (formerly ASCM Connect) Annual Conference ASCM Conference
    • Dates: September 9-10, 2025

  • REGISTER FOR National Black MBA Association Conference and Exposition
    • Dates: September 23-27, 2025
    • Location: Houston, TX
    • Register early for discounted rate and to ensure employers have an opportunity to view your résumé. Space is limited
    • National Black MBA features a two-day career fair where 100’s of major Fortune 500 firms network with and recruit top MBA candidates. Students are strongly advised to register during the "Early Bird" months of April and May, as room space is always limited.
  • REGISTER FOR Reaching Out MBA (ROMBA) Conference
    • Dates: September 25-27, 2025
    • Location: New Orleans, LA
    • The ROMBA Conference is the world’s largest gathering of LGBT+ business students and alumni. The event includes a variety of panels, workshops, receptions, and a career fair with 100 corporate partners across industries recruiting LGBT+ MBA talent.
  • REGISTER FOR Prospanica Conference and Career Expo
    • Register early for discounted rate and to ensure employers have an opportunity to view your résumé. Space is limited
    • Date:  October 19-22, 2025
    • Location: Minneapolis, MN
    • The National Society of Hispanic MBAs sponsors this job fair and interview event during their annual conference in late September or early October. While the event targets Hispanic MBAs, participation is open to both members and non-members of the organizations. Also open to undergraduates 
    • The Annual Conference & Career Exposition will feature: professional development sessions, Career Expo, certification training, interactive plenary, case competitions, award ceremonies, networking, and more.
  • REGISTER FOR AnitaB.Org Grace Hopper Celebration
    • Date: November 4-7, 2025
    • Location: Chicago, IL
    • The Grace Hopper Celebration is the world's largest gathering of women technologists.
    • Attend from wherever you are for innovative and interactive sessions that highlight the brilliance and resilience of women and underrepresented groups in tech.
