Conflict Management Certification

Local Leadership. Global Thinking. 

Learn to navigate and resolve conflict in multicultural, multigenerational and hybrid workplaces.

This program goes beyond traditional negotiation or mediation skills. It explores how identity, culture and generational perspective shape the way people experience and respond to conflict. Participants will strengthen their ability to lead with composure and empathy in diverse and global contexts.

Program Content

The Conflict Management Certification consists of six modules that cover a range of topics:

  • Self-awareness in culture and conflict
  • Identifying conflict within diverse and global systems
  • Cultural communication styles and misalignment
  • Power, social norms and escalation
  • Conflict resolution across cultures and subcultures
  • Facilitating resolution and conflict transformation

Program Structure

  • Instructional methods    
    • Interactive lectures and live case discussions
    • Peer learning and roleplay practice
    • Reflection prompts and skill-based assignments
  • Weekly format
    • Six synchronous two-hour sessions hosted virtually via Zoom
    • Prework and targeted weekly assignments
  • Final capstone project
    • Develop a culturally responsive conflict action plan based on a real-world workplace scenario
    • Submit a brief video reflection of the program experience
