5-6 p.m. on May 18 via Zoom.
The mass shooting that occurred May 14 at the Tops Market on Jefferson Avenue in Buffalo is truly a tragedy for our entire community. Our hearts go out to all of the families who have lost a loved one, been injured, or have been impacted by this horrible event.
We fully denounce the actions and motives surrounding Saturday’s attack, and encourage our School of Management students to also condemn these horrific acts of racial violence and come together to support one another and our community.
On May 18, the School of Management’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion will partner with UB’s Counseling Services to offer an online listening session via Zoom from 5-6 p.m. We are reaching out in support and concern for any student who wishes to talk through their fear, anger, trauma or any other feelings and reactions related to the shooting. If you wish to talk with us beforehand or at any time, contact us at mgt-DandI@buffalo.edu.
If you wish to help those in the neighborhood affected by the shooting, this list of resources can let you know how to assist.
