Do you have a personal website at UB? After Monday, August 21st, the settings you use to edit your website will change slightly.
UB is upgrading its personal websites to improve speed and security. You won’t be able to edit your UB personal website for a few hours during the upgrade.
After the August 21st upgrade you will use new settings in your HTML editor or FTP program to connect to the UB server. See detailed instructions on the UBIT website. Two of the less common ways of editing your site (through the command line interface and drive mapping) will be retired at this time.
Your UB personal website’s web address will remain the same. All your content will stay the same. This upgrade does not affect those who use a departmental personal website, UB Wordpress, UB SharePoint, the UB Content Management System (UBCMS) or another hosting service.
If you’re currently affiliated with UB, you already have one! Check out the UBIT website to learn how to activate and manage it.
