An expert on judgment and decision-making, Indranil Goswami studies consumer motivation and decision-making biases, as well as how the way choices are presented affects people’s decisions (called “choice architecture”). Specifically, he has investigated strategies to increase motivation for charitable giving, including suggested donation levels, and whether rewards lead to long-term behavior changes.
