Career advising
satisfaction rating
"My career advisor was very knowledgeable, supportive and empathetic throughout our meeting. She listened carefully to my questions and provided thoughtful, practical advice on improving my résumé. She even took the time to reformat my résumé and sent me the updated version afterward, which I truly appreciated. I left the meeting feeling encouraged, respected and more confident in my job search."
2026 MS Management Alum
During the 2025-26 academic year, we also focused on increasing student engagement. After the launch of the Suit-A-Bull engagement platform last year, we led the implemention of the school’s new series of first-year courses. These courses incorporate the Suit-A-Bull tool and serve as a year-long introduction to life as a UB School of Management student, helping to build a strong foundation in business while connecting early with faculty, staff and classmates. Students explore core business functions, learn how businesses work and gain essential career research skills to start shaping their future. Along the way, our courses support their transition to college and sets them up for success as a confident, career-ready business student.
Throughout the year, our team hosted a range of career fairs, educational career workshops, employer visits, treks and career conferences to create meaningful connections and successful outcomes. The CRC’s undergraduate advising team revived a local networking event called Network Buffalo, where alumni and small groups of students discussed career journeys. Our graduate advising team provided a Career Boot Camp focusing on necessary core career development skills. These efforts reflect our commitment to empowering students and preparing them to lead with purpose.
