Background

Cassie Nguyen's classroom instruction is enriched by years of industry experience. At EY, she served as a tax manager in Private Tax Services, where she managed professional tax compliance and tax consulting services to several private businesses and their ultimate owners. Her expertise is in family enterprises and the tax matters that evolve with private business operations and private wealth. Nguyen’s services included tax planning opportunities for high net worth individuals and family trusts. Her team also provided business tax compliance for partnerships and S corporations and ensured their transactions with the families were in line with their generational wealth transfer and succession planning goals. She also was involved in designing, developing and instructing several national training courses. Nguyen currently teaches taxation courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and serves as a mentor to her students in achieving their academic and career goals.
