Jacobs/Alfiero Classroom and Conference Access

  • Faculty and staff use Space Request to reserve space in Jacobs and Alfiero..  Reserve classroom or conference room space.
  • When reserving conference rooms, your request will automatically be confirmed, you will not have to wait for confirmation by an admin.
  • Within the reservation process and in the email confirmation, you will see links for the Jacobs Computer Lab and the Key Request Form. You will be responsible for gaining access to the conference rooms accordingly When reserving a conference room. Request a key if needed.
  • If you do not have access to a conference or classroom, go to the Computer Lab in 117 Jacobs or call 716-645-3332.

Regarding space in the Alfiero Atrium

  • When creating a reservation request for the atriums, we built in the capability to reserve a table(s) within the reservation process, eliminating additional steps to secure a table for your event. 
  • If you are tabling an event that is scheduled in one of the Alfiero classrooms (Alfiero 102, 103 or 104), be sure to reserve the first-floor Atrium and request the needed table(s).

Mail Services

All incoming U.S. and campus mail is delivered directly to the School of Management mailroom in 119 Jacobs. Be sure to check your mailbox frequently. Your UB ID card gives you swipe access to the mailroom at any time.  

Incoming deliveries: You will be notified by email of packages delivered from Print Services and any large packages that do not fit in your mail slot.

If you have outgoing mail that needs postage, complete and print the Campus Mail Services Request Form, attach it to your outgoing mail, and drop it in the Stamped Mail box in the Mail Room.  

Supply Requests

W. B. Mason supplies are ordered through UB ShopBlue. This website has a $50 minimum per order (set by the UB Procurement office). If your order does not meet the $50 minimum, we are asked to hold orders until we have a $50 minimum to place the order. All requests must be sent to mgt-facultyasst@buffalo.edu. If you have an urgent supply need, email mgtpurch@buffalo.edu.

Print Services

All UB print orders need to be placed through the online web-to-print ordering system.

Note: UB faculty, staff and students must register to use the new system. UB Print Services will no longer accept manual print orders.

  • You must be a registered user.
  • Before you register, open a new browser:
  • Disable pop-up blockers
  • Ensure you have the latest version of Acrobat Reader installed
  • Use the Google Chrome browser for the best user experience
  • Register in the Print Services Ordering system
  • Click “Log In” and begin registration using your UBIT credentials.

You may begin using the system as soon as you receive a confirmation email from UB Print Services indicating that your registration has been approved. You can find more information and training materials on the Print Services web page.

Contact to mgt-facultyasst@buffalo.edu to get the account code to use for ordering the following items:

  • Syllabi
  • Midterms
  • Final exams
  • Quizzes

All other print jobs must be charged to your individual School of Management account.  

All print order jobs will be delivered directly to the School of Management mailroom in 119 Jacobs. You will be notified by email when your package arrives, and it will be your responsibility to pick up packages from the mailroom. Your UB ID card gives you swipe access at any time.

Guest Parking Passes

Faculty and staff can request parking passes for guests. Parking passes are required year-round. If the guest is coming to campus within one to two days, you can pick up the parking pass(es) in 280 Jacobs. With enough notice, if you are able to provide us with the mailing address of the guest, we can send them the parking pass ahead of their intended visit.

Contact us by email at mgt-facultyasst@buffalo.edu with your parking pass request and the name of the guest using the parking pass.

Reimbursements

All faculty and staff process reimbursements in the Concur platforms. Our administrative assistants, Cheryl and Angela, are listed as travel preparers to book and submit business travel expenses for reimbursement on behalf of the faculty. If you need additional help, call the Concur help line at 716-645-4500 (press 2) or view the tip sheets and videos.

  • Preapproval is required for all UB faculty and staff travel. All UB faculty and staff must get preapproval from their supervisor before traveling overnight.

Faculty/Staff Lounge

The Faculty/Staff Lounge is located in 210 Jacobs. If you see that more kitchen supplies need to be ordered, contact mgt-facultyasst@buffalo.edu. Your UB ID card gives you swipe access to the Lounge at any time.

Ordering Textbooks Through the UB Bookstore

There are several ways to submit adoption information:

  • Follett Online Adoptions – This allows you to easily adopt course materials electronically (www.ubuffaloshop.com – “Online Adoptions” in footer).  Store-supplied password is 0405
  • Email – 0405txt@follett.com or Rory Cramer at r.cramer@follett.com
  • Campus mail – University Bookstore, North Campus, 200 Lee Entrance
    In person – Feel free to stop by any time to chat, browse, and say hello to your friendly UB Bookstore team.  Rory Cramer is the course materials market manager.
